Animal Kingdom is the forth and newest park in Disney World Parks. Built in 1998, it's is over five times the size of Magic Kingdom at over 500 acres. The first Walt Disney themed park devoted entirely to animal conservation, animal devotees will be delighted by the zoological displays, live exhibits and exciting rides.
Discovery Island is the important hub of AK. It joins all of the other parts of the park. Located here the park has a focal icon-The Tree of Life which is a immense tree hand-carved with 100s of animals and is bordered by animal enclosures showcasing many animals including kangaroos. The island's other leading attraction is It's Tough to be a Bug. An amusing 4-D film having appearances by Flik and Hopper.
Disney World Parks theme regions here are Africa, Asia, DinoLand USA and Camp Minnie-Mickey. Africa is the biggest theme region of land boasting free-roaming animal herds which visitors may tour in open safari vehicles.
